In response to Kate's previous post -- Remember when I dressed up as a nerd for Halloween (circa 2005) and will definitely wear this outfit/candy necklace for the rest of my life???

this post is brought to your all the way from

Charlotte, NC (ok the airport...but whatever) I have about 2 more hours until my flight for Houston leaves!! I figured I should update bloggggy because I know everyone is dying to find out what is going on in MY life. As of right now, I am currently in love with:
Dunkin Donuts on EVERY corner. My favorite coffee everrrr (image via Amy)
Spaghetti Squash!! Probably the best vegetable ever!

This book is seriously amazing. I promise I will have it done by the time I get home (which is tomorrow night!)
A planner FULL of job interviews....and taking a picture of myself in the middle of the airport. Things I don't love: looking like I woke up at 5 am..OH WAIT...I did!

Other things I don't love:
A security guy yelling at me because I am TERRIFIED of dogs and he brought over ah HUGE bomb sniffing GERMAN SHEPHERD. Ughhh I DON'T HAVE A BOMB LEAVE ME ALONE!!
People who get on a moving sidewalk and just stand there.

In love...

At the moment, I am ridiculously in love with my friends, my new cherry pie nail polish, my future classroom, and them:

Lady Antebellum

I typically don't like country, but they are SO amazing.

Weekend plans:
Eat at BDubs, pray KB gets a phone call from Indy ASAP, wedding, reading, friends, and writing a second thesis. You?

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday!! I'm very thankful to be alive today - for no particular reasons. I have so much to look forward to and I have the best friends & family a girl could ask for.

This is me SUPER excited (and wearing an obnoxious headband) about Kate believing she will get a job - BECAUSE SHE WILL! She is an amazing teacher & I'm so excited for what God has in store for her!!
Got to see this pretty (and very prego) girl today... It was wonderful :) Biaggi's and shopping, couldn't be better!

Weekend plans: Work Saturday and Sunday, church with Erin Ansley (yay!), Graduation Party, and working on my "In the Next Year" list.... so far, I want to visit a new state (preferably New York), make 5 new good friends, buy a good more expensive camera and take a photography class, and visit a new presidential home (Teddy Roosevelt would be nice) and/or go to Washington D.C.

Have a wonderful weekend!

so many job interviews...

....so much coffee
Coffee stop #2 before my Council Rock interview. Jessica Cooper says I am going to get a job, so I have decided to believe her :)

Update!!

ok, my turn to update!!

I have been super, super busy since my birthday (ewww 23 is so old!!). I spend my days going to the gym and filling out job applications haha. Last Thursday, I had an interview in Wayne, PA...then, I got to go visit my bff/old roomie Em!! We drove to Maryland over the weekend for our friend Sarah's wedding!! She's so prettttttttty!!

Obviously I love this picture of Em and I, because it looks like we both wore white dresses to the wedding.
On the way to Maryland, we saw this terrifying bumper sticker. Ok seriously...a crying baby seal holding a fetus??! WHAT???!
Ummm...I love grampy!! He's such an asian treasure!
Also, I found this photo from a few weeks ago of Chris Bing eating a Chocotaco and drinking a milk shake. JEALOUS!
I just got back from Ohio-- flew out there for an interview with North Ridgeville for a Middle School Science position. It went really well :) Back to PA tomorrow for an interview with Council Rock...then Kev and Hil are visiting NY for the weekend!!  Good thing I don't have a job haha.

Other things of importance in my life include:
obsessing over East of Eden

Ok, love you, byeeeee

Jess' Summer Update

FIRST

I sincerely apologize to all of our HUNDREDS of blog followers for the lack of updates in the past week or so, I know everyone is dying to know what's going on in our lives. As for me, I unofficially have a job for the fall (hooray!) teaching 7th grade science at Beech Grove Middle School close to Indianapolis. That's the biggest news. I spend most of my summertime telling people to increase or decrease their pH and chlorine levels in their pools, but am very thankful to have a job with some wonderful people.

I got to see this guy yesterday!! My bro is living in Columbus this summer lifeguarding at this big water park getting super tan (whatever).
And I wanted to share this picture of my beloved, soon to be 50 year old father. He pulled a 20 dollar bill out of his wallet with a look-alike mustache drawn on it (look closely). My dad gets mistaken for Andrew Jackson all the time.
This was me on my way to my interview in Beech Grove - Micky Dee's lattes have been my saving grace without a Starbucks around. At this point, I had no idea I'd be coming home with a job! :)

2 New Fiction books that look AMAZING:

How to Buy a Love of Reading
by Tanya Egan Gibson
It's about a group of students that hate to read and constantly dissect literature instead of enjoy it... or something like that. Read this & you be the judge - I think it sounds great!
&
Sunnyside
by Glen David Gold
Seems to be a story about the famous Charlie Chaplin and early Hollywood during the war. Looks great :)
Things I'm excited for:
1. A new apartment in 2 months (hopefully with Kate Bing)
2. Betsy Davis' wedding/rave
3. My own classroom
4. Having the day off tomorrow
5. TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O'BRIEN!!!

All for now,
