Inspired

Inspired by Kate's last post and also being her birthday today, I decided I would write about 23 reasons I love her!!!

1. She rarely smiles normally for pictures.

2. She does the Cupid Shuffle in public every chance she gets.

3. She makes delicious red velvet cake cookies.

4. She gives me clothes.

5. We laugh 90% of the time that we're together.

6. She understands why my brother is my best friend because she has brother best friends too.

7. She loves historical presidential homes.

8. She dreams about igneous intrusions and math equations.

9. She would dress up in a tuxedo with me to go to and interview. (Pannn?)

10. She introduced me to many things in life such as McDonalds carmel lattes, Elsie, embroidering, and roasted cauliflower.

11. She uses the phrase "nothing to see here" as often as possible.

12. She does a GREAT Tip the Cat impression.

13. I can tell her anything and she would never judge me.

14. She is one of the funniest people on the earth (besides Jacob Cooper OF COURSE)

15. She brings joyyyyy to my life.

16. She accepts me for who I am.
17. She loves chore charts and diet dr. pepper.

18. She loves books and quality literature.

19. She helps everyone see the brighter side of things.

20. She loves BDubs (even though they don't have it in NY).

21. She loves God but is not judgmental.

22. She's always up for any adventure.

23. She's sooo smarrrttt, pretty, funny, creative, and wondeful!!

HAPPY 23rd KATE!!!

23!!

So I am officially 23!! I know, I'm so old. I can't say I'm 22 with a Masters degree anymore! The plan is to go out for breakfast with my parents and Chris and then one of my friends is getting married, so the rest of the day will involve wedding festivities/a free party for me with all of my friends. Anyway, I decided to create a list of 23 things I was to do this year (inspired by elise )...hopefully there will be a mini book created to document it as well.

23 for my 23rd year:

1.     1. Write a children’s book

2.     2. Visit 3 new cities

3.     3. Get a REAL teaching job

4.     4. Move to a new city

5.     5. Wear every headband I own at least one time

6.     6. Make some new friends

7.     7. Simplify my closet

8.     8. Run in a 5k

9.     9. Get involved with a charity

10. 10. Buy some art, even if it’s cheap

11. 11. Look hot at Kevin’s wedding

12. 12. Keep in touch with all of my friends

13. 13. Read ten books I purchased, but haven’t even opened

14.14 Find a new church wherever I move

15. 15. Catch up from my year of not scrapbooking

16. 16. Learn to give myself a French manicure

17. 17. Hang out and keep in touch with Grampy and Nana as much as possible.

18. 18. Use reusable shopping bags all the time (and recycle more)!

19. 19. Stop tanning—and wear SPF everyday

20. 20. Buy new running shoes—GOOD ones

21. 21. Organize and store my jewelry correctly

22. 22. Go to a Giants game

23. 23. Cook some real dinners (actually use my cookbooks)—make things I have never made before…and also learn how to cook chicken…as in overcome my fear of touching raw chicken cutlets.

PPP.S. Here's a picture of me on my 22nd birthday-- I was so excited to move to BG and start grad school (hahahahahahahahhaha)

Top 6 on my mind

1. I learned how to embroider!! This was the first thing I did - very basic. It is NOT hard at all, you should try!

2. Kate found a great website that most of you MGDubs Alumni would like:
CLICK ME!

3. I ALWAYS smell like chlorine from work, but I love it.

4. Heading to Indianapolis Friday for a big interview!
EDIT: My interview is rescheduled for next Thursday!

5. I really miss doing things like this:

6. Mark your calendars!! Kate's birthday is FRIDAYYYYY!

Jessica's Life Update

Hiiiiii

First, I miss Kate SO MUCH. New York is way too far away. We're hoping we both get interviews at the same place at the same time so we can visit. If not, BETSY'S wedding (can't wait!) will be the next time we are reunited (and it feels so good).

Second, I am enjoying being home, but really miss my friends. My summer goals are to read as many books as possible (see current book list), learn to embroider, and get back in shape.

Third, I love my new sunglasses. With the UV Protection sticker still on them.
And so does my Aunt Denise!!
Went to Columbus this past weekend and got to spend time with her - it was so fun!
I like to take pictures of beautiful things everywhere I go, so my aunt's flowers are beautiful thing #1...
My mom, Debra Anna, is beautiful thing #2 :) She experienced Bare Escentuals for the first time this weekend!
I went to a WONDERFUL bridal shower this weekend in Columbus also and met up with these beauties:
One of the best parts of the trip was my mom (soon to be 50 years old) getting carded at Roosters...

And FINALLY, the best way to end a great weekend was sneaking a picture of the mall cop that was riding around on a Segway. I only thought they did that in movies, obviously not. And he totally caught me taking his picture.

Have a GREAT week everyone!

I love lists!!

...because J.Cooper has been the best blogger in the world and I am the worst, I present to you the 5 best things about living at home, after living ALL alone in Ohio...

#1 There are always clean towels in the bathroom...EVERY TIME I go to take a shower!!
#2 Mare is ALWAYS offering to buy me Dunkin Donuts lattes!
#3 When Chris and I come home at night, we watch Tyra Show reruns.
#4 I spoon feed the cat. Seriously.
#5 If the printer runs out of ink, Larry Bing has a brand new back up PRINTER in the office closet.

TOMORROW, I am going to PA to visit these THREE :

IN THE NEAR FUTURE, J.Cooper and I are moving to Indy!!

♥Mom♥

Happy Mother's Dayyy!!!!

Here's to the BEST mothers on the planet: Mare & Deb!

D - Delicious
E - Extraordinary
B - Bodacious
I - I love her!!

This is the apron I got my mom from her on Etsy. She LOVES it!

Also, we pulled off a 50th surprise birthday party for my mom yesterday. She had no idea and did NOT poop her pants like I thought she was going to. However, the shock value was amazing.

My WONDERFUL Aunt Denise catered the party and made my mom's favorites with a few new ideas including these:
SO CUTE!! LOVE YOU MOM!!

(Coming soon: Mary Bing)

Miles Apart

Okay so here's the thing:

We graduated,

HOOORAYYY!!
We all can add 'MEd.' to the end of our names!

However, I can't believe I'm not going to see all my wonderful friends on Monday morning on the 5th floor of the Education Building.

For the summer...

Kate is here in NY:

And I (Jess) am here in OH:

That makes me sad :(

However, we will both be updating this blog as much as possible with our adventures from afar.

Much love and sincere CONGRATS to all the new Masters of Education students from BGSU!

Long Island Love!!

With the school year coming to an end, I would like to invite all you blog readers out there to come visit me on Long Island this summer.

Seriously.

And here are the TOP 3 reasons I could think of to get you to New York:

#1 The Long Island Duck. Yes this is an actual store where you can buy all sorts of duck themed items. Seriously, do you even need anymore convincing??

#2 Mmmm what girl can resist a blow out and a chin strap? I know I can't. Long Island=so many guidos, so little time!!
#3 And if the first 2 weren't enough to convince you, Long Island offers something I don't think anyplace else in the world offers....I know what you're thinking and the answer is yes...you can come to Long Island and see PRINCESS DIANNA AND THE JUMPING DOLPHINS statue!
