Summer Reading Part I

Kate's Top 5 Summer Reads

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Tess of the d'Urbervilles
(for my summer BOOK CLUB!)

Michelle Style
(because I want to look like Michelle O...and because my twinny dress is featured in it!)

Mendel's Dwarf
(Gregor Mendel is the actual love of my life! I would definitely make him fall in love with me)

A Moveable Feast
(Who doesn't need a little more Hemingway in their lives??)

Jess' Top 5 Summer Reads

The Secret Life of Bees
(Because Mary Bing loved it)

Nectar in a Sieve
(Because I found it at Grounds for Thought & liked how it looked)

Speak
(Because it's on the adolescent banned book list - they're usually the best ones!)

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
(Because my Groomers read this when she was pregnant with my Mom!)

East of Eden
(Because I love Steinbeck & this has been on my shelf since Christmas)

What are YOU reading this summer??

One day late....sorrrrrry!

After ten hours on the road, I am finally back in New York (and sickkk) and a day late with my Mother's Day post!!

I just want to say that I loveeee my mom so much....AND she helped me pack and clean my entire apartment before I left.....and by helped I mean, she did 99% of it!

She's wonderful & one of the best women in the world! I'm so luck!  Love you Mom!

♥Mom♥

Happy Mother's Dayyy!!!!

Here's to the BEST mothers on the planet: Mare & Deb!

D - Delicious
E - Extraordinary
B - Bodacious
I - I love her!!

This is the apron I got my mom from her on Etsy. She LOVES it!

Also, we pulled off a 50th surprise birthday party for my mom yesterday. She had no idea and did NOT poop her pants like I thought she was going to. However, the shock value was amazing.

My WONDERFUL Aunt Denise catered the party and made my mom's favorites with a few new ideas including these:
SO CUTE!! LOVE YOU MOM!!

(Coming soon: Mary Bing)

Miles Apart

Okay so here's the thing:

We graduated,

HOOORAYYY!!
We all can add 'MEd.' to the end of our names!

However, I can't believe I'm not going to see all my wonderful friends on Monday morning on the 5th floor of the Education Building.

For the summer...

Kate is here in NY:

And I (Jess) am here in OH:

That makes me sad :(

However, we will both be updating this blog as much as possible with our adventures from afar.

Much love and sincere CONGRATS to all the new Masters of Education students from BGSU!

Long Island Love!!

With the school year coming to an end, I would like to invite all you blog readers out there to come visit me on Long Island this summer.

Seriously.

And here are the TOP 3 reasons I could think of to get you to New York:

#1 The Long Island Duck. Yes this is an actual store where you can buy all sorts of duck themed items. Seriously, do you even need anymore convincing??

#2 Mmmm what girl can resist a blow out and a chin strap? I know I can't. Long Island=so many guidos, so little time!!
#3 And if the first 2 weren't enough to convince you, Long Island offers something I don't think anyplace else in the world offers....I know what you're thinking and the answer is yes...you can come to Long Island and see PRINCESS DIANNA AND THE JUMPING DOLPHINS statue!
